Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about My Pie Studio 🍰
01What is My Pie Studio?
My Pie Studio is a web app for designing and managing stream overlays in real time. Your mod or team opens the editor in their browser, makes changes, hits Publish, and OBS updates in a second. No remote access to your PC. Works for solo streamers, small crews, and IRL streams alike.
02How much does it cost?
My Pie Studio is completely free during the beta. Full access, no credit card required. When we launch paid plans, it'll be $2/month, but you won't be charged until then.
03Which streaming software is supported?
Overlays work with any software that supports Browser Source: OBS Studio, Streamlabs, Prism Live Studio, XSplit, and more. We have a dedicated guide for Prism Live.
04How do I connect the overlay to OBS?
Your overlay is already created in your account, just connect it to OBS:
- Copy your overlay URL from the Dashboard
- In OBS, add a Browser Source
- Paste the URL, done!
Any changes you publish in the editor will instantly appear on stream.
05Can I control OBS from the Studio?
Yes! My Pie Studio can switch scenes, start/stop streaming, recording, virtual camera, and replay buffer, all through your browser overlay, no extra plugins needed.
06Can I invite others to manage my overlay?
Yes, you can invite managers to your team. Each manager can edit the overlay, and you control who has OBS access via a toggle on the Team page.
07What webhooks are supported?
You can trigger element animations (show/hide), sound alerts, and effects via HTTP requests. This works with Twitch, Streamlabs, IFTTT, or any service that can make HTTP POST requests.
08Where can I find full documentation?
We have detailed guides covering all platform features:

Ad Campaigns & Analytics
Webhooks & API
Prism Live Studio
09Is my data safe?
Yes. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, OBS overlay tokens are rotatable, we don't use tracking cookies, and we never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
10How do I contact support?
Email us, we respond quickly!
11Is this right for me if I only have a few hundred viewers?
Yes, especially if you want to land your first sponsors. Most small streamers think they get ignored because their audience is too small. Usually the real reason is different: a brand manager can't verify you, so they can't defend you internally.
My Pie Studio schedules sponsor banners directly from the editor, timestamps every display with your live Twitch viewer count at that moment, and gives your sponsor a dashboard URL they can check any time. CSV export for their reporting. That's what closes sponsor deals at 300–500 viewers, not bigger numbers.
If sponsors aren't on your mind right now, the tool is still useful as a web-based drag-and-drop overlay editor with team access and a one-URL OBS setup. Free while we're in beta.
12Do I need a big team to use My Pie Studio?
Not at all! My Pie Studio is designed for small teams, even a team of two. A streamer and one trusted friend is the most common setup. You don't need producers, dedicated OBS operators, or any technical experience. If you can use a web browser, you can use the Studio editor.
13What are Ad Campaigns?
Ad Campaigns let you schedule sponsor banners inside your overlay and automatically track every impression. Create a folder in the editor, mark it as an Ad Folder, set the interval and duration, the system will automatically show and hide the banner during your stream. Every impression is verified with live Twitch data (viewer count, category, stream title). You can generate a shareable public report link for your sponsor, no login required.
14What are QR codes on stream used for?
A QR code lets viewers point their phone camera at the screen and instantly open a link, like a sponsor's promo page, your merch store, or Discord. Unlike chat links, QR codes work even when chat is moving fast or the viewer is watching on a TV.
We track every scan: click count, device type, OS, and browser. If the QR code is inside an Ad Folder, clicks are automatically attributed to that campaign and show up in the sponsor's report.
