My Pie Studio ("we", "us", "our") operates the mypie.studio website and service. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.
1. What We Collect
- Email address and username (when you sign up)
- Password (stored as a one-way hash — we never see your plain password)
- Media files you upload (images, WebM videos) for use in your overlays
- Overlay configuration data (layer positions, text, settings)
- Basic usage data (login timestamps, feature usage for debugging)
- Google account info (email, name) if you choose to sign in with Google
2. Why We Collect It & Legal Basis
We collect this data solely to provide the My Pie Studio service — letting you create, edit, and publish overlays to OBS. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Legal bases for processing (GDPR Art. 6):
- Contract performance — account management, overlay service, subscriptions (Art. 6(1)(b))
- Consent — Google OAuth sign-in, when you choose this method (Art. 6(1)(a))
- Legitimate interest — basic usage analytics for debugging and service improvement (Art. 6(1)(f))
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following external services:
- Mono Acquiring — for payment processing (when billing is active). They receive your payment details directly; we do not store card numbers.
- Google OAuth — if you choose to sign in with Google. We receive your name and email from Google.
- New Relic — server-side performance monitoring only. It does not collect personal user data, does not set cookies, and does not track browser behavior.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on a secured server. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Access tokens for OBS overlay URLs are rotatable — you can regenerate them at any time from your dashboard.
5. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
6. Your Rights
You can:
- Export your data in a portable, machine-readable format (JSON) — contact us at spamolov.studio@gmail.com
- Delete your account — contact us and we will remove all your data, including uploaded files
- Unlink Google — from your Account settings at any time
8. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. If you request deletion, we remove all personal data and uploaded files within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
My Pie Studio is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete that information.
10. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to Know — what categories of personal information we collect and the purposes
- Right to Delete — request deletion of your personal information
- Right to Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Right to Opt-Out — we do NOT sell or share your personal information with third parties
- Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights
Categories of personal information collected in the past 12 months: Identifiers (email, username), Authentication data (Google OAuth), Service usage data (uploaded files, overlay settings). 11. EEA/UK Residents (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Erase your data ('right to be forgotten')
- Restrict processing
- Data portability
- Object to processing

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
